# Basic Tips

Things you have to know.

* In **ValiantZ** not all the zombies are like the ones in ordinary Minecraft. Some are stronger, faster, and tougher than usual, as are some that are weaker and slower.
* The chat has modifications. No matter how much you call for help, no one will be able to hear you or they can hear you unless they are within a radius of **200m** (blocks).
* In each **town** there are sources of drinking water so remember to fill your water bottles constantly. It is recommended that you fill your thirst bar and leave your water bottle full so you don't get dehydration damage.
* At the top of the screen you have an integrated **compass** in case you get disoriented. This cannot be disabled.
* Your thirst level is represented by the <mark style="color:yellow;">**yellow hearts**</mark> above your normal health.
* The only "safe" places in the world are towns since **pvp** is disabled, however you will still be able to take damage from Zombies.
* The only way to return to <mark style="color:$success;">**spawn**</mark> is through towns or by dying. If you leave the server and enter, you will continue in the same place where you disconnected.
